Dear Hiring Manager,
I’m applying for the Instructional Designer role at Brightline Health. For eight years, I’ve designed science units and assessments for about 150 seventh-grade students each year, and I’d like to bring that learning-design experience to your Learning team.
When state standards changed, I rewrote our ecosystems unit and its assessments to match the new requirements. I also built a Google Classroom course template that is now used by all six teachers in my science department. These projects have given me practical experience organizing content into clear learning sequences and creating materials others can use.
I use Google Classroom daily to share and maintain course materials. I’ve also led four or five professional development sessions for teachers on building quizzes in Google Forms and mentor new teachers. This year, I completed a LinkedIn Learning course in Articulate Storyline 360 and built a 10-minute compliance training module as a portfolio piece. I’ve also used Canva, Google Workspace, and some Camtasia.
I haven’t worked in healthcare or used Cornerstone, so I would need to learn your LMS and clinic-specific procedures. I’m ready to apply my experience translating standards into lessons and assessments to creating practical training with your subject matter experts. I’d be glad to discuss how my background could support Brightline Health’s clinic staff.
Sincerely,
Dana Whitfield
